DOULA SUPPORT

As a doula, Jacqui becomes a birthing companion. She is there to support the birthing person, and their partner, in any way they need. This includes creating a more relaxing environment within the hospital/birthing center/home environment, giving presses, hands on assists, acupressure points, aromatherapy, position suggestions, staying hydrated, fed and beyond. You become a team, so the birthing person is never alone and always feels supported.
DOULA SERVICE STARTS BEFORE THE LABOR EVER BEGINS.
We have two meetings prior to labor, where Jacqui gets to know the parents, how they envision their birth, and what kind of support they are looking for. Then, she will join you at home at the beginning of labor. Guided by your birth concept, you’ll work together to manage the natural sensations of labor through yoga postures, movement, and massage, in an effort to shorten our time at the birthing location. If relocating, we will move as a team to the birth location, where Jacqui continues to support both parents. She serves as a birthing companion, space holder, and an advocate to help the birthing person and partner feel empowered and educated to make the right decisions for their birth. In addition, you will receive a postpartum follow up to debrief your birth, receive feeding support, and have a family check in.

Standard Doula:
As described above, it includes 2 prenatal meetings, birth support and 1 postpartum visit
$1800, broken into 3 payments ($800 at first meeting, $200 at second meeting, $800 at 37 weeks)
Educated Doula:
The Standard Doula Package, along with Childbirth Education (dates are scheduled as a collective group to make it works for everyone)

I had the low intervention natural vaginal childbirth that I had hoped for and we had such a positive birth experience, thanks in large part to Jacqui.
